Do you feel lost and discouraged at work?
There’s a way out - you have the map to a fulfilling, dynamic vocation buried inside. Work with me to find it.
Most people’s career will shift 5-7 times within their lifetime.
Let me help you develop tools to understand what you’re wanting out of life and work, so these shifts happen on your terms. You can use your own story, interests, and relationships to discover a new way of finding work you love. Working on issues related to career change often brings up self-limiting beliefs, imposter syndrome, and other similar lighthearted topics. You don’t have to sort through that alone - let’s help you build a life worth living.
Navigating Career Changes*
Find the Right Focus
Don’t just look for a new job. Think through what a fulfilling vision of work and life might look like for you. Notice places you’ve experienced fulfillment and sorrow at work.
Experiment & Learn
Conduct small learning experiments that help you learn about potential jobs or careers. Ask for stories and advice, and buy a lot of people coffee. This is where the learning happens.
Refine & Iterate
I’ll help you keep experimenting and learning (a lifelong task) and stay focused on your values along the way, so you can design a work life you don’t need to escape from.
* My approach to working with career discernment is highly experiential. It comes from Bill Burnett & Dave Evans’ “Designing Your Life” course and book.
